$1 pizza night

Tuesdays are my favorite night to go to Carmella's...why? Because its dollar pizza night! Prior to making it over to Carmella's I got a chance to see Tymia perform a dance routine with her 8th grade class's annual dance recital. Quite nice.

So to top off a great evening, my good buddy Will showed up at Carmellas. In addition to being an annointed drummer, Will is also very insightful to the Word of God and shared scriptures with us. We don't hang out as often, but its always a treat when we do. I plan to have Will record my drum tracks on my upcoming Cd's. He is a standout drummer and I can't wait for you to hear him.

Meeting great people

Yesterday I got  chance to meet Joanna of the Tsunami Waveriders. I've heard of the band before, but never got a chance to hear them live. Joanna was kind enough to recommend me for a gig in Durham, NC.

I liked Joanna's down to earth personality and her passion for steel drums. Not only does she play them, but she is quite knowledgeable of the inner workings of the steel drum circuit, and quite familiar with the work of several stell drum builders/tuner. I enjoyed listening to her insight, and sharing marketing strategies with her. Thanks for your kindness Joanna.

Classy Durham

Last night I played at a last minute gig in Durham, NC. That was my first time visiting and playing in that area. The venue was the Sarah P Duke Botanical Gardens. I was quite impressed by the serenity and beauty of the place. I was in Duke country-Duke University-home of college basketball powerehouse, Duke Blue devils.

The gathering was very classy.  A young couple had gotten married in the Caribbean, and held a get together for friends and family that did not make the trip. I enjoyed my time entertaining the guests, as everyone was very pleasant. The feeling was mutual. The brides dad expressed his happiness with my performance and mentioned that he would keep me in mind for future events. Definitely a great connection.

Sorting Pics

I took some great new photos while in Lake Tahoe and San Francisco....I'm sorting them out and will post them in the photo section soon. I'm also working on a Home video of the same trip. I'm trying to streamline the website so that its very easy for visitorr to manuever.

Good Vibes

Working on some new songs. Actually, these songs have been in my head for many years, however I now have some of the musical equiment to express them. I now have a piano and a really great recording studio and engineer in the Legacy Recording Lounge and Daniel Gromitt. I'm moving toward buy some more musical gear that will allow me to capture my ideas on the fly. Lisa has been great in lending me her video camera, which allows me to tape some of the songs.
